Speedsculpt Jawjaw
Hi guys,
It's been a while I guess.. I'm going to start a weekly post (hopefully) of some speed sculpts with a 5-6min video with the creation of the sculpt.
So this guy took me around 5 hours.. (I know it says 'speed'.. I'll need to cut it down to around 2 hours and probably lose the texture but I felt like he needed some paint!)
I took a great deal of inspiration from the Creaturebox artists Dave Guertin and Greg Baldwin, if you haven't heard of them you should take a look at some of their work. They have a huge collection of great original designs for creatures and characters and are definitely two of my favourite artists out there.
The video recording messed up a little so it starts off a little after the initial sphere, and the menu's pop in there too..
Well I hope you enjoy watching and check in for more!
I'm taking in requests for sculpts so anything you guys can think of whether it be an existing character or some kind of animal or creature or whatever! Comment below and let me know!

India
Hi all!
This is post is to show what I've been up to here in India.. I've taken around a thousand photos I'm not going to upload them all obviously.. But here's a selection In the order that they happened! (Kind of..)
There's quite a few pictures there, apologies for the crappy layout.. I'm not sure how to load these up into a neat photo gallery.. I bet its something simple! The order of visits with Bangalore being my base of operations..
Mumbai > Bangalore > Coimbatore > Dehli > Agra > Coorg > Goa!
I've really enjoyed my trip! It's been a one of kind experience and I've learnt so much! I came here with a certain number of expectations and its been quite different to how I thought it would be.
I studied/lived with my friend Kaushik at uni (who's in a few of these pics.. He's the one that's taller than everyone else for those of you that don't know) and he'd been telling me to come to India for years after we graduated and the opportunity never presented itself until now! I came in November and I'll be leaving this Friday.. What an extraordinary few months its been!
Most of the questions I get asked are.. How spicy is the food? Can you get by just speaking English? And do they drive crazy out there?
The answer is... Yes. The food is the spiciest I've ever had. I was quite a lightweight before coming here.. I wouldn't really eat any spicy food and if I did I'd have some yogurt or milk to accompany the dish! A word of warning.. "You can't escape the spice!" you actually can't.. If its mild then it means its spicy and if its spicy well.. You'll have to try it for yourself to understand! But after being here this long spice threatening to burn me is a thing of the past! My taste buds have developed to adapt and now I actually enjoy spicy foods!
There's a million native languages here... It's more around 30 main ones but with that many languages it makes it pretty difficult to learn. Luckily most people speak English here so you can get by quite easily. I've run in to a few problems trying to get home and asking the auto rickshaw drivers to take me to "Domlur Layout" and them looking at me with a "I have no idea what you just said?" face.. Also it's taken me 12 minutes to order a takeaway here but it did come in the end so like I said you CAN get by!
The traffic here is ridiculous! I thought the driving in Turkey was reckless. These guys are in a class of there own! Lane systems? Traffic lights? Giving way? Driving on the right side of the road? Ok so none of that applies here BUT they make it work! I've taken to the road a couple time here and it's been an adventure on its own! Everyone drives in the direction they want to and they seem to get by just fine!? It's pretty confusing to see at first and a little bit scary but once you've been in an auto rickshaw race then everything else seems fine!
Working here has been great. I came here after talking with Kaushik and he told to me about what his company does and which direction they want to head in and I did whatever I could to help! After coming and seeing how he ran his office it was quite the transformation the boy I studied with a few years back! Him and his brother Keshav have really done some spectacular work here and I'm so greatful to have been a part of it! His employees are great, really talented and really friendly guys, Akil Senthil - developer, Deb Hui - 3D artist, Balaji - 3D artist, Ganesan Dhanaraj - 3D artist, and AnindyA Andy - 3D artist. A big thanks to you guys for helping me get by on a day to day its been a pleasure working with you all!
Really big thanks to Kaushik and his family for pretty much looking after me this entire trip! The food has been great and the hospitality has been much more then what I could of asked for! Hopefully I can repay it to you all one day!
Thanks to Ovais for everything in Delhi and seeing the Taj Mahal!
It's been great meeting everyone here too! I hope I'll see you all again soon!
S/O to Abhi, Mithran, Kavi, ReddyGeddy, Tata, Srikanth, Ayushi, Anu, Karthik Noel, Pushkar, Ashwin, Vivek, Nikith, Shiva, and anyone else I've missed out!
I'm sure I've missed a bunch of things out but feel free to ask me about anything and I'll reply!
On to the next adventure!
TO SYDNEY!
