The cyclops!


Wow so it's been so long since I've posted or even visited my blog I forgot about the last thing I posted! So here he is my latest piece.. The cyclops! He doesn't have an actual name yet so this will have to do for now! But I'm excited about getting him finished up!




http://p3d.in/SrR25/wireonsmooth You can check out the model here and see the wireframe etc.. I'm making this model to be used in a game engine maybe as an enemy character, so I've tried keeping the polygon count down. I've applied a normal map on that model but it's still an early version.

I started this model from a sphere and once I got it to a shape I like I retopologised it, then took it into Maya to tweak it further!



Now its back in zbrush and I'm working on the details (My favourite part :D) I'm on about 1.4Million polys at the moment so still a way to go! Working on the form whilst I go along as I'm noticing things that can look better!

Here's the latest video after the retopology session! Hopefully it'll be finished soon! Still need to add the inners of his mouth.. And give him a loin cloth to cover up his... "Ken doll-like" smoothness?
