It's been a while..
I've been working on a few bits and pieces since the cyclops but I'm giving my full attention to this character I'm making now.
I'm currently working on this guy. I'm trying to go for realism with this character. I do love my stylised pieces but its important to be able to create ultra realistic characters and its incredibly hard at that! Well there'll be more updates when I get further with this guy.. Still in the early sculpting process. Trying to correct proportions and make sure things look right.
Thanks for looking. Feel free to comment/crit.

Cyclops Updates!
Been working on this beast and he's almost complete! Just need to add a few accessories and he's done. Well modelling and texture-wise he will be.. He'll be rigged and after probably with a few animations to follow!
You can see the model (it's not great here but at least you can move it around) http://p3d.in/6GcfN here!
Not long left! A necklace, a club/mace/axe and maybe a few skulls and he'll be be ready to rig!
Thanks for looking! :D

The cyclops!
http://p3d.in/SrR25/wireonsmooth You can check out the model here and see the wireframe etc.. I'm making this model to be used in a game engine maybe as an enemy character, so I've tried keeping the polygon count down. I've applied a normal map on that model but it's still an early version.
I started this model from a sphere and once I got it to a shape I like I retopologised it, then took it into Maya to tweak it further!
Now its back in zbrush and I'm working on the details (My favourite part :D) I'm on about 1.4Million polys at the moment so still a way to go! Working on the form whilst I go along as I'm noticing things that can look better!
Thanks for looking! More to come soon!

Dragon Speed Sculpt Timelapse
So here's my first timelapse of a Zbrush sculpt.. Unfortunately it's not a single complete video as I had to come back to the model. It's just over 8 minutes long so you might want to skip through bits but this is a general idea of my work process from a sphere to a character.
This was mainly a test to see how the timelapse recording feature works on Zbrush.. My settings need some tweaks, its a bit fast in some areas and some pauses are too long but overall I'm happy that its possible to create things like this! Great for tutorials!

The point where it changes colour is a new retopologised mesh. It's going to be implemented in to a game engine So the final mesh had to be around 6000 tris!

Big Day!
The day I've been waiting for!
Today I re-launch my website after 3 years.. It was really starting to look old especially with the "2009" showreel on the front page.. http://kadiraksoy.com/ Click here to see it in all of it's glory!
There's content from my blog but also unseen content as well so be sure to check it out!
You can also view my blog directly through my website! As I know most of you have this page bookmarked... (Sarcasm) You can bookmark my website directly and have the blog there also! Two in one how about that!?
Ok so.. LAUNCH DAY GO!
Massive thank you to Neil Brinsdon for everything website related!
And thanks to everyone of you for looking! Please enjoy!

Steve Buscemi Head Bust
Ok so its been a while.. I have been busy though! Busy creating content for my new and improved website! Which will hopefully be launched at the end of the week! It'll have a section embedded where you can view my blog! Thanks to my buddy Neil Brinsdon for all the great work he's put in to developing the site!
Anyway's the guys over at pixologic have also been busy developing new goodies for us zbrushers to play around with! The latest tool to mess around with is the fibremesh tool, which is essentially a tool for making hair/fur and also really good for repeating a lot of one thing over a body of mesh (like leaves for a tree).
So here's the latest on the Steve Buscemi head.. I've messed around with some poly painting and gave him a bad haircut.. It's quite hard to get things looking right atm but I'll get there!

Boardwalk Empire.
HAPPY NEW YEAR! First post of 2012 Hopefully this year will be full of content to show!
I finished watching Boardwalk Empire season 2 yesterday amazing finale! But this blog isn't about T.V shows so I'm not going to get into it! I did however notice a shot in the scene between Nucky and Jimmy that I wanted to re-create!
You're going to have to forgive the bad picture quality iphone+bad light+tv screen.. But that's the shot! I've been meaning to make a realistic attempt at a human for a while as a lot of my work is quite stylised.
So my first attempt is Steve Buscemi, a.k.a Nucky Thompson! Reference pictures are not the greatest but all I could find with the power of google.
I've started in zbrush again from a sphere.. Worked on it for roughly around 5-6 hours.

Here he is.. Without hair.. Or eye details.. I'm finding this one quite a challenge.. It's hard to get the likeliness exact but I want to get as close as I can!
Hopefully I'll end up making the entire scene and have a flythrough so we can see it from multiple angles..
Thanks for looking!
